Rick has been full time in property since 2018, leaving his previous corporate role in web development. Having built a successful deal packaging business, Rick has sourced or purchased over 70 properties for himself and his clients. These have included BRR single lets, flips, HMO conversions, commercial to residential HMO, flats, and new builds. His current scheme is a commercial to residential block of 18 flats with a GDV of £2.6M+. Having worked on a wide range of projects, Rick has a keen eye for space planning and layouts, and now creates most of his own floorplans and working drawings. This has on occasion given him a unique edge, enabling him to buy deals which others have missed. Rick has raised millions in JV finance and private loans has built a multi million pound property portfolio across multiple successful businesses. In addition Rick and his wife Sophie have setup a Lettings agency managing over 150 tenancies and growing.

Halstead Ottley:

Halstead bought his first property at age 19, and has been involved in property investing ever since. In order to take his investing to the next level, he joined Progressive in 2010. Halstead now has a multi-million pound portfolio consisting of BTL's, HMO's and SA's, and has raised over £5m in JV finance. He has also converted a care home into 30 bungalows, built 4 industrial units and has land which houses 10 storage containers.

Darren tried to buy his first BTL property when he was 16, back in 2003, He was told by the bank he needed to come back when he was 18 to be able to apply for a mortgage. After reading Mark and Rob’s book, Multiple Streams of Property Income. Darren attended a Multiple Streams of Property Income event and then joined VIP. Darren then went full time
into property four months into his VIP.

Derek Pape:

I’ve packaged and sold around 360 properties to investors, I have a small portfolio of 15 single buy to lets and plan to buy some more this year or next. I’ve done around 20 creative deals, some I’ve kept some I’ve sold, which have been Vendor Finance or Delayed Completions.

We have an Arla/Property Mark registered lettings Agency which manage around 250 units, this is ran by two of my daughters and their staff. This is definitely my proudest achievement.

I was a PPN host for around 4 years and learnt a lot from it, I’m also a mentor on Progressives Academy program which I’ve done for around 10 years and still enjoy it."

John Philbin:

John rented his first property way back in 1987 with zero advice or education. John and his wife Melanie own and operate award winning beauty salons (www.beautymattersleeds.co.uk). Along the way John studied Person Centred counselling, NLP, Hypnosis and Reiki healing. steven mitchell

Steven Mitchell:

Steve spent 13 years working for a global commercial finance company in sales and then Risk Management. Since leaving the corporate world in 2013, Steve set up his portfolio of BTL rental properties in Liverpool as he went through Progressive's VIP programme making him financially free. It was also at this time Steve completed his first lease option deal generating £30,000 net profit in nine weeks using strategies learnt at Progressive. To get more property experience, Steve joined Countrywide, the largest residential sales & letting company in the UK, spending 3 years understanding the operational aspects of the residential letting business. It was at this time Steve then focused his attention on HMO management in Bedford by setting up his own HMO management company which quickly grew by 143% in the last 12 months to over £250,000 annual revenue. Steve is process orientated and constantly looks to leverage technology to streamline his business. He is currently looking to expand his HMO management business into five new locations.

malcolm ridley

Malcolm Ridley

Malcolm has over 20 years of experience in property. He first started investing in property in 2002 when he purchased an investment property for £42k in Sunderland; it’s been a huge success and currently rents out at £700pcm. He also invested in Leeds and more recently acquired many more in his chosen investment area in the far North East of England. He joined Progressive in 2019 and was inspired by Kevin McDonnell and Toni Gargan amongst others. He invested in a number of courses including the No Money Down Masterclass and the Mastermind. He also joined the Progressive Academy, then subscribed to Lifetime membership. His main skills have been acquired throughout his varied career, these can be summarised as Project Management and Business Development where he now finds himself problem solving by finding creative solutions for his JV partners and his personal business projects. Having personally managed over 20 refurbishment projects Malcolm now has a great power team he can rely upon. He continues to network widely and has had opportunities to guide and mentor small business owners and aspiring property investors. 

Malcolm is based in the North East of England, close to Newcastle where you might find him at the weekend ‘OOT On the TOON’ dancing in clubs with his partner Debbie.
His most successful property investments are now all consolidated in a portfolio located the
Sunderland Area.

I started investing in property in 2007 and made lots of the usual mistakes until finding Progressive and attending my first event in April 2018. I sat the No Money Down Masterclass in Nov 2018 and started Mastermind in February 2019.
My main strengths are in sales & social media/marketing plus structuring tenant buyer deals as well as securing and operating R2R serviced accommodation units. I mainly specialise in working with investor clients on the planning, structuring and managing the delivery on refurb and conversion projects.
I’m passionate about working with mentees to help them understand and embrace the processes around:

Neil Briggs

Neil Briggs

If you have been in the property scene in Milton Keynes before you probably would recognise Neil Briggs, he started in the industry in 2001 as a Mortgage Advisor and has since then gone on to establish several businesses and a multimillion-pound property portfolio. Neil has been investing in property personally since the early 2000s and personally does multiple strategies which include Flips, HMO’s, Single lets, commercial conversions, new build developments, Mini Mo’s, Micro Flats and commercial property. Neil has experience in JV’s and working with armchair investors for his property and development arm but also owns and runs a multi-branch sales and lettings agency, a mortgage brokerage, property sourcing company and a building company and also has in-depth experience of the planning system. Neil has educated his staff at the agency so they understand the property investing sector so they are well placed to explain rent to rent to landlords, option agreements, exchanged with delayed completions and other strategies that most will just dismiss. Having experience in these transaction types means we understand the benefits for both parties so can properly advise clients on all aspects relating to them. Anyone that knows Neil knows he’s passionate about property and also has a passion for running, he can often be out running marathons regularly and also taking phone calls doing deals! He is always happy to help people along the way and has a straight-talking no-nonsense manner that people find refreshing.
